Dermeze Intensive Moisturising Ointment

Dry skin is prone to lose moisture from the surface layer, the stratum corneum, at a far greater rate than that of the average person. That’s why standard moisturisers often aren’t suitable for many people, including sufferers of dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. Without constant replenishment, skin quickly becomes dry and flaky.

To retain your skin’s own precious moisture longer, apply intensive emollient Dermeze Ointment. Dermeze Ointment hydrates dry, sensitive and itchy skin for people of all ages including infants, adults and the elderly. It boosts the skin’s own precious moisture with a mix of soft white paraffin and liquid paraffin to help prevent moisture evaporating. It’s that simple, that gentle – and very effective.

F.A.Q.

I need intensive moisture to treat my dry skin, but I sometimes find this ointment too greasy to use during the day.

Try Dermeze Thick Cream which combines Dermeze Ointment’s rich key ingredients of white soft paraffin and liquid paraffin with a gentle blend of moisturisers and emollients to give it a creamier, less greasy consistency. Like the Ointment, Dermeze Thick Cream is also dermatologist-tested, non-irritant, hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and suitable for people with dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.

What does Dermatologist Tested mean exactly?

Dermatologists have tested Dermeze Ointment on a panel of sensitive skin subjects to be non-irritant and hypoallergenic. So it is suitable for sensitive skin and less likely to cause irritation.

Could this sting my skin?

No, Dermeze Ointment contains only liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin , which rarely sting. There are no fragrances, preservatives or colours.

My child is prone to dermatitis. Could Dermeze Ointment make it worse?

Because Dermeze Ointment is purely made up of liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin, it is not prone to mould or bacterial growth and so needs no preservatives, which are often linked with irritant or allergic contact dermatitis reactions. There are no fragrances and no colours either. Only those who are hypersensitive to paraffin need to be cautious.

How much, and where do I get it?

RRP (Recommended Retail Price) is $7.99 for 100g, $16.99 for 500g.
Dermeze Ointment is only available from pharmacies.

When my skin dries out a lot, the rash and itching drives me crazy. What should I do?

After cleansing with Dermeze Soap Free Wash with lukewarm water, apply Dermeze Ointment liberally three to five times a day – if you’re yearning for the cooling action, store your ointment in the fridge (not the freezer). If the heat and itchiness is still there, apply Dermeze Ointment before and after using cool compresses. Talk to your doctor for further advice.
